crap i will be up at ruapehu at that time i think..i may not depending on the snow conditions and whether my friends have planned it...but if its not then im down for a road trip..wonder if the viffer can take three ppl eh andrew..?....one of the tank and one pillion..dunt worry we wont pull a dushi and steer midway on a corner..
For those of you whose use the fast lane on motorways and only do a 100km/hr, can you pls use the middle lane, some of us like to ride at 105km/hr thank you very much.

    that's a thursday/friday? sweet i can manage that

new plymouth, get back by six, without losing licence... i'd say we leave pretty early in the morning for that - it's a minimum four hour trip EACH WAY

360km, with pillion, would be almost two tanks at $20 to $25 a tank, each way. so expect up to around $100 for the round trip (i actually expect it to be only $80 but rounding up never hurts)

so before we invest $100 in petrol to check out this bike, is it possible to have a KB member who lives there have a look for us? (i'm keen on going though)

(i'll pay for a tank when we leave and get back, so it'll be close to, but probably not quite 50/50)

haha, considering the amount of stuff i've balance on that tank before i'm sure it wouldn't be that bad

Gonna be a mission to get back by 6pm unless you start say 6am. I did it with Ewen's CBR down Taranaki...took a good 10 hours altogether which included food stops. Fun in my car....plus we almost ran out of fuel as we going thru the mounts.... best to get a KB member to have a look at it first....before you make a trip down.

Would not mind driving down if I had the other car but no way am I gonna use the BMW for this trip. With petrol prices going crazy I better not. If I was riding down to New Plymouth I probably continue down to Wellington then come back from Napier...yeah super fun...

haha!! gotta love starlets. how much would fuel be to get there and back in the starlet? (also roughly 100?) i'm ok with that. have texted the owner, and am waiting for him to send his details through, so can ask boob_johnson(really hope i got that right), to check it out first. will update u as i go along.

i know it's asking for a bit much, but would the 26th be good? - leaving early and all. just found out i got a job on the 27th, so will need to be in auck at lunch time for that.
