LOL, it's amazing how far bikes have come. There are scooters that go faster than that beast now.

    best bit:

"The result is a motorbike for the real sportsman without the unpleasant noise usually produced by high performance machines"

I've never _ever_ heard a high performance machine produce a sound that could be described by "unpleasant"

also worth special note is the fact they call it high performance, but at the time that would've obviously been true.

    "unpleasant noise of performance sportsbikes"

I thought that was the whole bardy point of perfomance sportsbikes (actually mine makes even more noise than power...the Honda 65 would prolly pwn it!).

Only the XB12XT is available now.
HD-A have discontinued the X locally.
Overall it will sell better but XT is too short for me.
The numbers didn't stack up real well either.

    Anytime.

    what no x.

have ridden both a 06 and 07, 07 with the lower seat, just about right for me @ only5'10.

the Xt looks weird with out the dirt style guard.
I can see how it should sell better being lower.
but lotsa a people don't know how good these are,
even with your full endorsement/recommendation thru KR..

So how many k's have you racked up on yours now.

Yeah, I didn't do my career any favours when the Marketing Manager at HD told me the Ulysses has been dropped.

I still reckon the Ulysses is one of the most versatile bikes on the market. It's not the best 'anything' but it is one of the best at doing 'everything' and it's the most fun bike I've had.

You can make the XT look like an X with bolt-on stuff.

It will sell better because it fits more folks. Or so HD is counting.
