Taupo region weather warning! (5 July)

    Hey guys and gals,

If any of you are planning to ride through Taupo just be aware that it is EXTREMELY cold today and guessing for the next few days. Just rode 15 mins north and ended up riding through falling snow and there is snow on the hills to ground level just out of town . So take it easy in this region and make sure you're rugged up properly

Lol, generally in this area it is just a light dusting on the top of Mt Tauhara.

It was 15 years ago since I last saw snow on the hills out Oruanui way...

    Pics or it didn't happen!

And the minimotos are still mine at the moment! Got to get them running and bored with them before I relinquish them!

Tell your brother if it happens, he'll be first in line for them!

It's snowing on the Kaimai's and SH 29 has been closed to Westbound traffic. I can only remember it snowing on the Kaimai's about 3 times since 1976. It must be cold!!! BRRRRRRRRRR.

    Shall I comment?? Hmmm...perhaps not.
Whatever you do, take extra care.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Exactly. I didn't want to 'out' you. Third time will be the charm. But you HAVE to take care...the rescue service is wanting to stay home if possible.
