    Stock on gravel roads

fuck, i did the pironhia loop today on the Sm, but fuck me there was alot of wandering stock, it was raining, freezing cold, but totally fun.

the roads around te akau were bad last time i was on them, we saw about ten cows, maybe 20 sheep/goats on the road.

    is this the farmers responsibility?

Do you find them a problem? Do cows scare you? Sometimes I feel a bit concerned when sheep run away and jam their heads into a barbed wire fence.Other than that - it's part of the ride, enjoy it.

Yes it is. If you see wandering stock on the road 555 might be the solution.

Back country roads will always have loose stock, (and goats, and pigs, and hawkes and.....).
    Part of being out there.
