There was a layer of ice on the timber decking outside the bike shed this morning.
Twas a bit dicey moving the bike as my feet were sliding all over the show.

Then the bastard thing didn't want to start for 10 minutes.

I didn't quite have my neck warmer tucked into my helmet at the front - I think I have frostbite on my chin!

I normally hold the front of the neckwarmer in my teeth until the helmet is on and done up. Mmm, toasty-warm chin!

ps: i was raised in Dubai, so winters there were hmmm 24 C in the day and 10 C at night, even lower if you're out in the desert...but summer..40 odd C ..

Yeah I normally use that technique too. In fact I did it when I left home but then stopped for petrol along the way and forgot the correct cold-weather procedure - probably because I was still stunned by the fact it cost me $25 to fill my little Volty's tank!

By the way Swoop have you got any tips for not rubbing off your lip gloss when you do that? Happens every time.

Pilot Powers go pretty well in snow.

Riding in snow is OK.
As long as it's either fresh, or very old. If it's melted and refrozen it's a bit slippy.
Riding when it's snowing is a bit more tricky. Last time I did it I had the conundrum (like a condom, but has more of a bang) of whether to have my visor up or down: down = covered in snow, visor fogged up; up = helmet filled with snow, eyes fogged up.
