It is. That's where the cable ties come in useful....
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

yea i totally agree. just drop it down a cog and get the front wheel up, then the cop cant even tell if you have an L plate or not.

Yes I might actually, I wrote a letter to the police about the no L plate ticket and that I am a poor uni student and am in dept as it is already. -

I don't think this letter will achieve anything, but it never hurts to try.

The way the cop was talking to me after I was being polite to him was up right rude.

Is that too me? If so I was in the country and my ninja250r wouldn't outrun that cage lol.

For future reference, I'm wearing my L plate now.

My justification for wearing L plates is that my bike's only worth $400, so why want to double the cost of owning it by not having an L plate?

Also, surely insurance companys wouldnt be happy if you rode round without one?

There seems to be an awful lot of advice on how to not wear your L plate in this thread, for all the fact that it's saying wear it. My two cents.

    I add:

If you fit into the crowd, you'll mostly be ignored, so ride well and obey the laws. If you suck, wear the L plate. If you can't afford the fines, wear the L plate. If you've been riding for years out the back of your house, then okay, don't wear it, but don't pack a wobbly when you get caught.

And don't expect sympathy on KB on these subjects pretty much ever...

What makes you different from anyone else that chooses to ignore, break the rules which everyone has to abide by..? If you can't afford the $400.00 fine, maybe should have thought about that before riding without an l-plate on...

Yup you have a bin, are involved in an accident, and you are riding outside your licence conditions. You will suffer the consequences, insurance companies won't pay out if you are found to be breaking a condition of your licence... And you will still face the prospect of a fine anyways for breach of licence condition...

Why not simply, no matter what you ride like, if you are on your learners stick to the licence conditions of displaying your l-plate and not have to worry about it. Makes for more enjoyment of your riding, if you are not worrying about getting caught.....

But if you do get caught you have only yourself to blame....
If your looking at Bike Comms, have a read of this review..

That would be a perfect world but we all know there are gonna be the wankers who don't use it then bitch like schoolgirls when they get fined, and when, as prementioned, other drivers give L platers respect and are careful around them, but they don't really, not that I've ever seen.

I'm freely also admitting that I'm probably gonna be a wanker at some point during my learner period and remove my L plate, but only after I'm confident. But I'll just keep my mouth shut when I get caught.
