XENA ALARMS non stop!!

Just bought the latest Xena stainless disk lock n alarm. Anyone had problems with non stop false alarms from day ONE!! Nice clean bike ...new alarm...locked up in the garage ..... and still likes to go off every hour or two .Just as well it resets after 12 seconds ..thats does work well. Changed the position of the lock etc...but still the same.....Any ideas.... Sent email to Xena..but no reply........

Try backing off the sensitivity (if it is adjustable) - might be general vibrations setting it off. I had a cage alarm that went off at 3.00am every morning for weeks after I got it installed.....had it adjusted twice before it stopped pissing off the neighbours...thought I was gonna be run outa town on a rail for a bit there......

Mine used to go off when you go to unlock it, and when the battery was low you wouldnt be able to stop it either. then trying to get the batteries out to shut it up it goes off full whack.

I ditched mine.

I remember reading that you get false alarms if the battery is low. If you are using the ones that came in it to start - they may be old and flat - try changing them to the new ones.

Ive never had a issue with mine.

Oh and they dont like water. I used to keep mine in its pouch, under my seat, and it was alarming out whilst riding telling me its wet. Idve prefered if it just broke..

Ooh thanks for the heads up! I keep mine under the seat, might change that lol.

I still don't get why they go off when you try change the batteries

when i first bought mine I took it apart just to see how it's done etc... I learnt how loud it was... Ears were ringing for a while after that

Yep better off with an intergrated alarm, and then if needbe, a way of securing the bike so It cant actually move when the alarm is screaming like a chain or normal disk lock.
