I used to smoke as a young fella when we went to the pub after work on Friday but fortunately it never got its claws into me. Have a cigar about every couple of years when someone gives me one . Went through a stage of smoking those "other" cigarettes but realised they weren't good for me either .Got enough health problems without inviting any more thanks very much.

I don't smoke when I'm on the bike. The ash got in my eyes so I stopped!

One packet of smokes = one gallon of petrol (or more) ....no contest!!

Never yet met a smoker who said "Shee-it this is good, wish I'd taken up smoking years before I did start."

But I have heard plenty of the converse.

I watched my mother die of lung cancer when I was 17. She was younger than I am now.

Oddly, Ive never been tempted to start and view it as a sign of weakness in anyone who does.

Me = not a fan its fair to say.

Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

You also left out "I don't but my bike does". I thought this was going to be a thread debating whether or not to buy a 2 Stroke! (not that there is any debate to be had . . . just do it!)

I was that guy up until a few years back, when I tried a cigar and realised that it was really quite nice.

So now I have one occasionally, and have also been known to indulge in a nicotine buzz off a cigarette (I prefer hand-rolled ones, preferably with menthol-flavoured tobacco) when drinking.

I plan on purchasing a pipe in due course, too, and sampling some more interesting tobaccos. Nothing better than a Friday evening out at the smoker's table at Galbraiths with a pint of bitter, surrounded by a cloud of fragrant yuppie-repelling fumes.

Beats me how anyone could get addicted to the stuff, though. I smoke tobacco, on average, probably once a week. I can no more imagine puffing away on tobacco throughout a working day than I could imagine chugging down a bottle of scotch on my lunchbreak. People must have to work really hard on forming an actual habit out of that shit.

    All things in moderation.

Tetchy...not quite, but have run out of patience with the 'anti-brigade' and their attitude.
And yes, I smoke. Not giving up (at this stage) either. If/when I do, it'll be because I want to, not cos someone made me.
