Yeah, too far out still for an accurate forecast but here's a reliable source:

Situation: A deep low, with areas of storm to gale force winds, slowly tracks southwards along the west of the North Island today, then stalls over central New Zealand Thursday and moves further southward from Friday. Disturbed westerlies follow this low through to Sunday.

Outlook:Friday:Westerly 25 knots. Scattered showers. Saturday: Northwest 25 knots rising northerly 35 knots morning. Period of rain. Sunday: Northwest 30 knots easing 20 knots evening. Occasional showers.

Hey I'm very new to coro, how many petrol stops we gotta do?

GN can do about 200km fulltank(mainly motorway commuting)

Would there be enough petrol stations every 200kms so that I don't have to push GN back to Auckland???

yeah you'll be fine for gas, just remeber to top up at every stop. better to top up the tank 6 times than fill it once and push to the 2nd

coro loop is serious business - you reckon you're up to it?

Metvuw is generally pretty accurate... may settle with tootling down to ol quaz and peruse some gear

If i do come, don't expect me to push it much at all. Besides still being fairly new to riding, so I definetely won't be touching the chicken strips even, I also don't have full protective gear so don't exactly want to overpush my bike and bin it AND myself

So much negativity... tisk tisk. Still your apparent healthy respect for riding and the hazards is something I have long been trying to re-establish

i agree with you kimmer, im not pulling out until i wake up saturday morning look outside and see rain.....so im staying positive and hoping and praying to the weather gods to provide a beautiful day

Meh, just foudn out I also have work from 9-12, so might catch you guys up at the BBQ afterwards then, assuming its not so soaking I don't feel like riding to wherever the BBQ is.

The negativity comes from having NO padding at all. My jacket is just a 100% waterproof and windproof thing, it has no padding. I'm going to be getting a new good quality jacket just need to go out and actually get it
