For sure. And excellent customer service and a good knowlage base will generally get the repeat business, especially with such an emotive thing as someones bike.

Repco can go fuck themselves, awhile back i bought a can of Automotive paint with a colour coded cap thing on it,cost bugger all but when i went to use it it wasnt the same colour as advertised on the capno problem methinks i will just take it back, ive spent plenty in there over the years so when this overweight HSV wearing sack of shit tells me "i cant return it" even though he agreed it was the wrong colour i chucked the can on the counter never to return, whenever i go to the big smoke i take a list of stuff that mates want and buy it from somewhere, anywhere but Repco.

Exactly. I'll start sweating when that spotty faced teenager starts asking "Would you like some knowledgable advice with that bodil of oarl, sir?"

Of course with that arrogant attitude I'm sure you do very well, not every one who works at Repco is a spotty teenager, like any shop if you find helpful staff go back and make it known. Bike owners always get a bit of a buzz when they find out the Repco dude actually knows a thing or two about *shock, horror* motorcycles. Always chuckle because they tend to be reluctant to say what they have, thinking like you, Repco, why bother .... Classic case the other day had a guy looking for some clear plastic, asked what bike he had, turns out he had a Bimota, and you could what he was thinking .... YB I asked, no SB6 .... ahhhh those beam frames look great! Think he was stunned I'd of one and knew the model he had. Turned out it was a Jap import owned by a collector who had it mounted up on his wall, it had done bugger all miles but as a result the speedo drive had siezed. Had a good old chatter about some options, think he quite enjoyed the chance to talk about his bike. Certainly didnt look like the type of guy who you would think would own something like that, and also I bet there would be plenty of spotty teens working in bike shops who would have no clue about what he owned.
Oh by the way most Repco's now stock the full Castrol motorcycle oil range. I think only North Shore at this stage is doing helmets etc. But yeah, have mentioned that we should be trying to get the McLeod range into more of our stores. The problem lies that usually the overseas supplier will have one deal for Aus and a seperate sole distributor for NZ. When Repco started selling lifejackets we became Hutchwilco's biggest customer overnight, if Repco did want to flex some muscle some bike shops would soon find it hard to find some key lines.

Sorry to hurt your feelings gav.

Maybe you're the one exception to the rule.

(But good on you for being brave enough to own up to working for Repco. You have my sympathy.)

Repco - "if you can't find the tool you want on our shelves it's probably because he's behind the counter".
