Higher calling- well lots of peeps would disagree especially as I want to work with offenders. But flying a fighter plane is well a different calling- I think it is the speed that does it. Always have been an adrenalin junky so will just have to find my thrills n spills (not a track hopefully) elsewhere. And riding a bike whether it be track days or road riding should always be about meeting your own expectations not others.
I'm more familiar with Ardmore. If you got the cash and no other responsibilities other than yourself go for it.Life is about experiences and the friends you make along the way.Good pilots are normally the methodical calm types. The old saying that "you get old pilots and bold pilots, but not old bold pilots" is sadly often true in my experience.
Me I'm a little bit of an adrenalin junkie too and need it to feel alive, fortuneatly tempered with age.

I have developed a healthy respect for life what with age and death of my dad. I still loved the buzz I got on the back of OWNER doing a session at Puke but am realising more now that I am not the invisible wee lass I used to be and that injuries seems to hurt more as you get older. Hence the investment in good leather as opposed to what I have been wearing recently.

Yep you need to make the most of life but it never hurts to have a little bit of common sense in there too!! GOD I AM TURNING INTO MY MOTHER!! noooooo
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have you found? The same old fears.
    Wish you were here. QWQ

Not sure about my better half but I arrive in Auckland 30th Jan!! Going via SF so that I can bring double the lugguage allowance! I guess OWNER will try and get a flight around the same time- he needs to change his ticket. I can't wait to get out of the UK I hate it. The roads down around Pompey suck for bikes, and I miss the roads where I grew up (Lincolnshire). Took OWNER up there the other week and had some awesone fun with and old school friend. We didn't do too bad on the Fazer considering there were two of us on it and Jez has a 900 and there was only one of him!!

I think a bit of that depends on whether or not there is a demand for your vocation.

Perhaps you should move to Wellington.
