it's 5 months away, but most weekends are free, accomodation/food etc while she's there is free, so is the gym and pool. beer is cheap, most weekends see partners visiting, or recruits going home. recruits used to come home for a couple of weeks in the middle of training - i'm not sure if they still do, but i'd be surprised if they don't have some kind of break.

The 19 week course actually goes by pretty fast - did mine in 2003 and the Mrs had a friend flat with her while I was away - although I just jumped on the bike and went home every weekend. Yes you do get a short break in the middle and a few would fly home once or twice during the course for a shag fest at home.
