    Cool Gel seats good bad or ugly

    I am thinking of fittting a gel seat to my SV1000 but dont know if they are any good

    In fact... if anyone is interested, I have two genuine Suzuki gel seats to move on. One for a 2003-2004 GSX-R1000, and one for a 2004-2008 SV650/1000

    They're generally regarded as a worthwhile upgrade for the SV1k. Suzuki themselves make a factory gel seat for the SV.

    why not check out getting your seat altered , we have on the xjr finished our 1000 miler first time without loss of feeling .... yup tried sheep skin, and rode my friends wifes bike as she has a gel pad, on her sportee , however it felt like i had bubble sheet under me and moved around a litttle yuk lol, she loves it so to each their own

    I might be interested what sort of money are you wanting.
    Lost my sheepskin down south i didnt secure it properly when i stood up to strech my legs it dissapered, it didnt seem to make much of a diffrence any way.

    You can have it for a hundy. I don't think it will fit the 03. Suzuki changed the sub-frame 04 onwards.
    I also have the genuine Suzuki lower seat for the 04 onwards SV650/1000

    I found the gel seats bloody comfy. As soon as I have some spare pingers I'm getting one in from USA for the sem fiddy

    I can trump that! I lost mine when I stood up to fart and the sheepskin finished up in between my chain and rear sprocket.
