Its only coz you ride like a twat. And everyone knows it. I have nothing against riding like a twat, but do it on bikes that you own. I wouldn't test-ride someone elses property and dick around on it. Ive bought bikes without test-rides. If your serious, ask them to get someone to follow you. And dont ride like a dick.
Just throwin it out there
Well Carver that isn't exactly what happened. I did not say I didn't have the keys. I said I couldn't let you out on it as Dave my salesman was away. Jason and Dave run the sales department. They decide who rides them not me. I told you you can come back the next day to try it when Dave is here.
We have to be careful who we let test bikes. If one gets wrecked or stolen our insurance company put up our premiums or reject us completely. Not to say this would happen with you.
Dave is happy to ride beside you when you test ride a bike. I was here on my own so could not leave the shop. I remember many years ago, I think it was Hybrows motorcycles, had a OWo1 stolen in a test ride and it was worth $50,000 and it put him in financial trouble. Would you give me $10k cash to try for half an hour?
Also I have seen your comments (tests?) on bikes you have taken on demo and I would be very careful to let you take something if you are going to break the law and perform dangerous manoeuvres. Demos are for people genuinely going to buy it not joy riders. Most of the time it is imposible to tell the difference. When you have $100s of thousands of dollars at risk i'd like to see what your risk levels are!
Thanks Campbell

Thought this lil clip was fitting, enjoy
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
sweet as dude....
i only wanted the keys to see what k's were on it anyhow...but you said you could not do anything tilll dave was back.
i am far too well known to steal a bike, i have even brought a new bike off you guys before!
if im going to do 20,000k + on a bike it has to do what i want it to.
they are only dangerous if you dont know what your doing, and only illegal if you get caught.
if i did happen to crash it i could cough up the full amount as fast as a trip to the bank.
boyds have a nice Z1000 on offer at the mo, all modded up, but thanks for your time.
crazy steve wrote something you should read
Although i'm in Auckland, I've recently bought my bike from Waikato Yamaha, by email, No need for test ride, never ridden it, did my research from mag reviews. Phoned several Yamaha dealers in Auckland but finally found the service and answers I needed from Jason over the phone. Yesterday emailed Jason with query, he's away but within 30mins, got email from Campbell, phone call from Dave, and email response from Yamaha head office - these guys know about service and know their business.
my 2c.
