Haha, heard alot of things about 22 but never heard the words 'forving' or 'good condition'.

I've ridden it a few times, lots of pea gravel everywhere, animals in the road, very tight twisties, roads broken to pieces with lots of mossey patches.

But it is a great ride, (not recommended for new people, IMO) unfortunately i'm out for perhaps the next 3 weeks.. burst an oil seal.

Okay I'll give you all of that but when I rode it, it was still fun as long as you keep your wits about you, don't ride into the holes and broken bits f road, anticipate the pea gravel, dodge the cows, prevent yourself from highsiding on cow shit and try not to die on the moss covered twisty bits haha.

    Have... fun?

All you can hope for is good weather because if it's rainy and windy doing SH1 all the to Wellington, you'll go mental with your own negative thoughts.

Done it many a time before..

Atleast with twisties you have some to occupy your mind with.
