What acts of kindness have you done today?
More importantly what have you - and I could do with a back rub at about 4.30.

Does making the boss swear, five times, count?
In ten years at the job I have never heard him swear once.

Gotta help him get all that pent-up stress and anger out...

the bridge of my nose came second to a can falling from a top shelf onto my head whilst i was looking upward yesterday [in a word 'spectacular' lol] ... in answer to the 'what have you DONE to your nose' i've been answering "professional jelly-wrestling injury .... you should see the other guy"

I was nice to someone today...just the one mind, but it took all the effort I could muster.

Was on an interview panel and the most productive part of the interview was when I planned out what I was going to eat for lunch....poor woman was just tragic and totally out of her depth. I think too that she thought we were all mind readers because there was NO substance to any of her answers...some of them were even 1 word answers fastest interview I've ever been involved in..all up including the 10 min presentation it took 30 mins...all the others so far have been at least a full hour.

Anyway I was nice to her because I didn't laugh, roll my eyes or be rude in anyway...I nodded and smiled and tried to encourage her with prompting questions - what a waste of effort that all was!

Heres a "thought you did the right thing story"

Went to pull the drapes and glimpsed over to the neighbours as something must have caught the eye. Noticed the ranch slider was actually off and leaning against the house...not just open but off! Its getting dark and theres no lights on and I dont even know the neighbour.

So what does one do? Well a sheepish call to the emergency services after a lot of thinking. Thinking maybe the house has been broken into and I would hope my neighbours would do summit if it was my pad.

Well the local constabulary turn up lights flashing and torches waving (its now pitch black and the house is in darkness). Just then the neighbour turns up and says oh it broke yesterday and havent gotten round to fixing it.....

You did the right thing, MadDuck. If you were my neighbour and saw my ranch sliders off the rails and didn't call the police I would be really mad! Was talking to a woman earlier who had her horse stolen out of her paddock and the person across the road watched the whole thing happen and did nothing. Better to call the police and let them work it out.
