I think the point is with modern litre bikes that the spec sheet is pretty much academic since 90% of litre bike owners can only realise about 30% of their bike's ability.

It amuses me to hear people wank on about how the GSXR1000 is faster than the CBR1000 which is faster than the ZX10R which gets it's arse handed to it by the R1....yawn....

If you are Rossi, Capirossi, Stoner, Harris, Stroud, or one of the Mair brothers then by all means the performance defferences between litre bikes can matter but if you are a mere mortal like the rest of us then just buy it coz you like it...rather than talk about the spec.

This kind of sums up how I feel about the fella in the vid. He's been shovelling too much white powder up his nose from the sound of things too.

It's all advertising hype and bull manure. It's really out of hand as far as I'm concerned. Do you really need all that horsepower and "latest model" technology. Where's it all going to end?

Too much bloody horsepower and not enough bloody reality checks. Sixty year old born-again bikers buying Fatboys and dropping them, nineteen year olds on bikes capable of doing 300 kph killing themselves, fifteen year olds on Chinese scooters, wearing shorts and jandals, undertaking me on the inside while I'm stopped at a pedestrian crossing...Every day when I'm out in my cage I see something that makes me cringe.
