Atheism and Religion are but two sides of the same coin.
One prefers to use its head, while the other relies on tales.

Re: the weather. Will take a look at it on Friday nite and make the final decision on Saturday or Sunday. My preference is definitely for Saturday and would put up with a little rain as a result. Sunday's for a sleep in and cleaning the bike.

If you looked at my Kwaka at the moment you'd think I didn't too - still filthy from the Taupo loop however many moons ago. Been busy neglecting her and riding the red bike.

I'm not saying that I'm definitely cleaning the bike on Sunday but I could at least think about it while I do not much of anything else...

it's got nothing to do with being a 'real biker'

some people enjoy it, some people don't

Why do some people run marathons or climb mountains? Same sort of thing really. It's not a race at all - it's a bit of a practice for the Grand Challenge in October. That's 1,000 miles in 24 hours and you do not have to race to complete that either. It's about taking on a bit of a challenge and the pleasure you get out of succeeding - and to top it all off it involves bikes!

Nothing to do with being a real biker either. If it's not ya cup of tea it's not ya cup of tea. I hate tea but am addicted to these sorts of rides.

Give it a crack one day - you might get hooked! Ride safe!
