Yeah cops have been all over Auckland in the last week or so. Even more than normal as I was coming home from work just after midnight - saw at least three cars (mufti and sticker'd) having chats to people within one block of the downtown police station.

Play nice and you should be safe though.

Next time you want to do something stupid on the motorways, take a careful look as you travel along it. Almost the entire auckland region of motorway has cameras covering it. Do something, they keep an eye on you, and cop (if in area) is told what off ramp you get off at.

    Doing something stupid is... stupid.

Other than that, BD is doing a fantastic job hassling the country hicks in this thread, so I will leave him to it.

All between 2-2.30 in the p.m.

How dare they be out there doing their jobs.
still probably looking for a 1125r and sport triple that were moving "briskly" on the motorway last friday... as they were late to drop off the demo bikes...

The answer to all your questions, step up one and all.

    Umm, guys...

Helen announced the election a short time ago - she is being noted for being super-soft on crime. A Police officer gets shot.

The result - highly visible police presence on our roads and motorways - the the public suddenly notice more cars, and therefore make the assumption that Labour is getting tough on crime.

Ironic, because while they're wasting time on the motorways, the real criminals are standing in the kitchens of our combined rental properties making P (and P is not for Potato).

Am I taking off from Ixion? Well, maybe. Also note that the day the Government buy back the railway from Toll, the RUC for truckies goes up (making rail a more cost effective way to freight). Also note that Helen knew about peters, but firing him would cause a snap election. etc etc...

I still have no answers about the inner workings of a woman's mind, sorry guys.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

Personally, I throughly approve of a VERY strong police presence on the motorway system.

In fact every police officer who is not on duty on a booze bus and has a radar set in his/her vehicle should be sent to patrol the motorways.

(I also throughly approve of booze buses. The numbers both of buses and of officers per bus should be exponentially increased)

Having said that I haven't seen any for ages... I can also say that when they are targeting its blimmin obvious. If you get caught during that target time you're either an idiot or just plain unlucky.
