Karapoti this weekend, hardcore loop

Me, Dave and Darrell are confirmed for this one so c'mon welli boys lets get a riding community like Auckland has (except we have better spots to ride and not an MX track in sight). We're going sunday. Gonna go to top of pram track then it gets fun... into the link track and across to the top of the stair case, down that , up the rock garden, down deadwood and have a go at some of the mean hill climbs at the bottom (for anyone who has any energy left) we on MXers so we gonna take a couple litres of extra gas. Pretty hard yakka loop but we'll wait for anyone who his willing to give things a shot. So get your leave passes now and hopefully it'll piss down to make it a bit harder!

and don't forget to take a camera..... That's my old stomping ground from last century...... Will be a challenge if wet..............

i'll try to get the helmet cam, i destroyed at pumice blast,

Kez, point out our meet up spot on the map mazz posted on the akatarawa thread ... Or the orange hut?? ... Im trying to rally a few more blokes for the ride ... Yup, me and Pat will be riding in from the kapiti side ... Timings??

Just carry on past the hut and up the hill (pram track) towards karapoti. We'll meet you up the top. or somewhere along the way. the link track is around the top of the hill. you'll need to bring about an extra 5 litres of gas. then when we get to karapoti carpark you can gas up off the tank in the truck. if we leave carpark at 9.30 you'll have to leave mungotuk side about 9. should meet up at top around 10?

Would love to give it a go but I'll play the sensible card this time and get a few more hours on the new bike first before trying that loop as to not slow you lot down too much!

Have raced the Karapoti Classic up there a few times and taken the 4wds through ( yip go on blame us for the huge ruts I do too! ) both ways but never had company game enough to take to it on two wheels yet....

Hey bo' I see your online .. If I hook you up some gas coin, we could just do the loop and top up at the carpark for the ride back to kapiti ... i reckon i should have enough as to do the link loop (staircase/rockgarden/climbs/carpark) on a tank. Did quite a few k's before meeting you guy's at the hut sunday ...
Should be ale to get a few more guys keen ... ian (sherco 450), guy (drz400) and maybe my mate tony on his quad too. Possibly another bloke with an aprilla 450 and Darrell on his crf 450 ....
If all the boys are keen then thats 10 of us!

ten of us would be phat, imagine the drama. Sweet, we'll fill the gas can and sort the cash after. yeah, got message about tyre, sorry i'm at work and super busy... forgot about your txt. Dunno where to go for cheap you could ring around the shops and check the deals or we could just turn your tyre on the rim... that'd be the real cheap option! Man, i just spoke to missus on the phone and finally told her i'm riding sunday after promising we'd do something together this weekend. She went septic! i wonder if she'll still be there when i get home? who cares as long as she don't take the bike with her. I'm too young for this shit, i just wanna ride

Ha, poor bastard. Thanks for the phone call, that Pirelli scorpion is on its last legs, and too damn soft for the conditions there. See ya thursday and we'll flip it around for this ride. Metzler MC5 definately on next week .....

The only reason I can get away with going for a ride this weekend is that pats mrs is my mrs mate. They can hang out together sunday, and whinge about us while we rip it up...
