All of the places and rides that have had price increases lately have had work done to improve them and this costs money to do.. We have spent alot of time and labour at The Sandpit upgrading and providing better riding for everyone as im sure the others have also.. It takes alot of people a fair wack of time to organise these rides and riding areas for all of us to enjoy..
No i havnt been to the movies for over a year wouldnt have a clue but downloads are real cheap.

Quite possible i know what you are getting at but kimmies seams to be groomed and the being of summer and never touched after that track ends up as ruff as hell and get you wondering what your fees are going towards.
We are all well aware of the effort put in to the sand pit and the results show and speak for them selfs. Just a shame some of the other places dont do the same sorta maintence.

    so are stolen motorcycles,

    j/k

    seriously on the issue,

its supply and demand, if Kimmy has out priced himself the consumer will soon tell him, he does provide wash down facilties and some other stuff that other parks do not, and with the problems Ardmore are having and what James @ thundercross went though to get consent it will not get any easier to open new bike parks,

thats true, i normally dont wash my bike for a week or so before going there, save up all the cow poo for his water blaster just looks odd when i roll up with a bike thats already dirty as haha
My choice is what I choose to do,
And if I'm causing no harm, it shouldn't bother you.

Thats a bit low jail terms are all good for those types once caught (mr Paul david guy will know this all to soon) And insurance helps with that.
Back on subject as the price was what ever it was last year with the water blasters in place. Guess the point is most other places seam to do a bit more to maintain the tracks while they are open for the season or all year round if open all the time. If this happened you could justify charging xtra.

I've always found the tracks at Kimmies to be in very good condition. Mind you I usually go early in the season and then don't go again for a year. The last time was on that Kiwi Biker ride and the tracks were primo as I recall. This is dirt biking anyway, not road riding.

Twice the displacement, twice the cost and a decibel problem, I'll pass on the inside brraaaap!!!

dont think they would have the same problems last time i was down there the locals didnt look like they would be able to even afford to think about doing anythink ( if they even care ) appart from the fact the closest house must be a good mile or so away.

and teh watering system for the mx track is upgraded this year,

as the guys from the sandpit said earlier in the tread, the cost of maintaining tracks is going up with deisel, and that includes running pumps for watering systems, it will be the only MX track in the region (auckland/waikato) that will be watered and open daily,

as for no neighbours close, it won't always mean that they will not try to get the place closed down, it only takes one comitted person,

No, I have no idea how much it costs. But one thing I do know is that compared to 1yr ago, we have less spare money a week, fuel prices have risen, bike/car running costs have gone up, and ride fees have too. This makes it harder for me to be able to ride. That is why I don't like expensive places to ride. Oh and I know the sandpit went up by $5 but I can see where the extra money is going there.

it comes down to perception, we have had very cheap riding here for a long time, i still do not think the $35 is that expensive when you take into consideration the time/effort and money it takes to set up and maintain bike parks,
