    Filling bike tyres with nitrogen!

    I had a go filling my bike tyres with nitrogen the other day its awsome! i mannaged to cut off 3 sec of my laptimes around taupo, brakeing never felt better and you can just go absolutly nuts on cold tyres!! it doesn matter if there hot or not it just gives uber traction!! you get mad respect from all the boy racers they think ur awsome for filling ur tyres with such a cool productand it also picks up chicks!!

    Well thats my review of substituting regular air for NITROGEN!!!!

    Heard a rumour that up North (where else) people are actually stupid enough to pay to get there car tyres filled with it.

    Uh-huh............http://www.tyresave.co.uk/nitrogen.html one of many links saying the same thing,Mr Jones may well just throw his money out the window than bother paying to put it in his Corolla.Fwiw,yea i realize your not using it in a car.

    I'm wearing an air tight one piece suite under my leathers, when I race. It's filled with nitrogen, it cuts my inertia and momentum on the bike in half, it also lowers the centre of gravity. If I looser the front I've found I can regain traction a lot easier now, thanks to being lighter than air, so to speak.

    And some of the information on that site is incorrect according to the research I have done

    For every website that says what a waste of time it is I reckon it would be possible to find just as many saying it's a good thing

    In saying that I also find it very hard to believe a lot of the benifits attributed to it in the first post

    A lot of people in Darwin do this too apparently...
    The road surfaces here are very rough tar due to the high rainfall during our wet season and apparently another reason is because of the high temperature (average of 30 plus for most of the year)

    I do not know anything more, but seems to be a common thing - have to have "special" valve caps too.

    so this is 100% nitrogen? not just the 60% nitrogen i get at bp?
