    1993 RGV250 barrel vs 1996 RS250 barrel

I think I need a new cylinder for my 1996 Aprilia RS250. On it is stamped '22D5'. I have phoned a wrecker, and he has a barrel from a 1993 RGV250.

Before I go ahead and order this, can someone please tell me if they are the same barrel and the RGV250 barrel will fit on my engine?

Go ask at rgv250.co.uk for the definitive answer

    They have an RS250 subforum

Search before you ask, you might be able to answer your own question... someone is bound to have asked before

    Good luck

Thanks. What about getting some oversized pistons and honing the barrel properly? Has anyone tried that before?

(Yes I did search for that)

Nicasil plated bore, you'd have to have it replated after boring it.

Wont they be a Nikasil bore?

You might have to replate it rather than rebore it
