    Talking Just got my 6R!!!

Sat my 'stricted test today at Takanini - Sweet as!

First thing I did, unbolted the Loser Plate!!

Went pretty well, pretty much rode round the block, did a u-turn, short blat on an 80kph road. The testing dude said 'you're fine, we don't need to do more'. Started breathing again for the first time all day

I figure car drivers must be Apes. All they do is sit in cages all day & grunt

haha, me too. Ripped the barsted off before I went anywhere.

Heh I thought I was late for my R test (clock on bike was fast) everyone on the road I passed musta wondered what the fuck a noisy 650 vtwin was doing passing everyone at 140k with a fucken learner plate on.

    Congrats!

As long as you demonstrate you're confident on the road, remember to turn your indicators off and not pose a problem to other road users aka a moving chicane, the 6R is a breeze.

Congrats on passing. Now start practicing your hazard detection for the 6F.

    5 positions of a hazard

    1. Oncoming
    2. In front
    3. From the left
    4. From the right
    5. From behind

When you go for a ride down the road, look at possible hazards and start saying them out loud to yourself. "Car following behind, car apporoaching from the left, truck oncoming, pedestrian approaching Xing infront" etc..

And from above. Large birds hovering above can and will swoop down suddenly for carrion on the road. I stand on the horn if they remotely look like they will dive - usually they piss off real quick when I do that.

Hitting a hawk at open-read speed is going to really hurt. Theres a video on youtube of some guy who hit a pheasant with his visor - he was pretty smashed up.

Oh, I'd love an R6 - or a ZX6R - but even once I've got my full I don't think I'll be getting one. Just a bit out of my price range at the moment.

Plus now my wife wants to get her license, and she's got her eyes on the brand new Scorpio 225. So she'll get a bike before I can upgrade
