Your chances of winning are only slightl less if you dont have a ticket! 38 million to one, or 38 million to none!
I used to work at lotto years ago. You would be amazed at how crazy people get when the jackpot gets slightly high.
In saying that, some people are just crazy all the time. One guy used to come in every week and spend over $100 on his tickets and would get his old ones checked, and never won anywhere near as much as he spent.
I'm gonna make it so PC
I guess the powerball number for this weeks draw 1113...
And got four numbers on two lines on a power dip....
Sooo that brought down my odds to 1 in 25,000 no ?* ?
Or 1 in 50,000 ?* ?
Still a crap pay out.! ! !
Crazy Steve...
Gambling is a tax on the mathematically illiterate.

kiwibiker is full of love, an disrespect.

Apparently NZ lotteries made 26 million in sales this last week, so that's them sorted for the payout and a bit after that! Think how much they make after a few weeks of jackpotting, with more and more people buying in each week.

TOP QUOTE: “The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money.”
Year, have to get 6 from 40 numbers then 1 from 10
Works out like this:
49!/6!(40!-6!) * 10 = 38,383,800
So if odds are 1 in 38,383,800 and you buy one ticket a week, theoretically you will have to wait 738150 years to win! Crazy!
I wonder if lot goes to charity and BACK to the community?
