By the time I got home I was quite cold yesterday. Should have worn a full face, but hell its just not the same.
excellent ride, bit cold getting to the pub but nothing that helens wedges didnt fix up.
No really we did expect a few people to be there already. As we were comming in to land there were a couple of bikes and we thought the would be the back markers. This lead us to question if we were in the right place, at least until the hoards showed up. A nice gentle cruise for Jwalker and I so it must have been all the stops the flat landers used that slowed them down.
Remember that the Akoroa GP it is NOT a racetrack.
Was good to see some nice safe ridding as I came through and I think the only person who deserved to be bitched at for some silly moves was me, so duly slapped and beaten.
Man I don't know why you say it was cold I was sweating for most of the ride and had to open all my vents up. At least I wasn't cold till someone put some frukn freezing hands down my back - actually felt nice to have a cool spot there.
And my leathers have perferations everywhere.
safety in numbers aye , thats why the smaller "sub" groups are good on the wed rides.
ya probably pretty safe .I heard they were out looking for a kawa green cruise missile again . I'm told the hens are still not laying in the old taitapu rd area, after the supersonic boom earlier in the week![]()
The sub-group thing seemed to work ok, although there may have been some confusion when a bunch of us legged it left at Colombo Street
Certainly the road up Dyers Pass is in much better nick now, only one or too bits of road works still going on and very little traffic.
As we made Little River in good time with plenty of light it seemed only natural to keep going and scoot round the best stretch of road on the East Coast....though it did mean missing pretty much everyone at the pub
Stoked to see a lucky strike RGV SP out and about, I lusted for one for many years....
