So there's a fuel stop in there as well. I've been looking at my fuel consumption on my rides and I reckon it would do 3 hours easily. The only doubt I have is our trail rides aren't 3 hours full on??? So not entirely convinced it would make it if the whole 3 hours where in anger? I had 2 1/2 to 3 hours on the clock last ride and put 5 3/4 litres of gas in a 7 liter + 2 reserve= 9 litre tank when I got home. I'd like to think the lighter 200 and good fuel mileage might make me up some time at the business end of the race?
Wadya reckon take the risk? Wheres Danger when you need him?? LOL!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

dont see why you wouldnt make it round on one tank i dont really plan on a fuel stop either but may just for a peice of mind do a quick splash and go wont need to completly refill after 2-3 laps better safe than pushing through sand. At least you have a reserve give you warning you need a top up i have none and rupe only has 1/2 litre once he hits it and that dont go far.

Na. I always thought I could do the same on my 200 as it was very economical but the trouble is that the races sometimes ended being 3.5 hours long.

It takes 20 seconds with a good crew to stop for fuel. It takes a lot longer to push your bike back the last couple of K.

Good feedback thanks guys. From what I can guess I'd probably do a round on reserve anyway by the sound of it. and its highly unlikely I'd go on reserve right at the start of a lap. I know what my tank and reserve is for sure, as I filled it then drained it into a measring container. I mainly wanted to know if I needed to set up a 5 litre can for a fuel stop. I might not even make 3 hours anyway!! But I'll probably do what Danger says for piece of mind then measure what I've used so I know for next time. Crew?? What Crew??

As a rule i refuel at the end of every 2nd lap for two reasons one is that i make sure i wont run out. two is that it cuts time down refeuling on the third as it will require more fuel to be dumped in.

Just poach into one of our tents and when you come in to pit just point in the general direction of your fuel container and grunt loudly like you're in pain. There's always somebody who will take pity on you and will refuel for you. Chop grunts all the time and people help him

Yeah I usually stop for gas after two laps or around the 1 hour mark, its also a good time to eat something and drink a sugary drink.

Also the race length is only 2 hours but if you manage to get through the checkpoint just before the 2 hour point then it may be approx 2.5 hours before you finish.

I'm bloody sure it'll do 2 hours but I might need the break anyway. Sugary drink? On the trailblazer I saw a guy stuffing Jelly beans in his gob for a sugar fix. I might get some, sounds like a good plan to me and then I won't need to stop for a pee so often! That happens more at my age! LOL!!
It'll be OK on the day as long as I let the faster guys past and finish I'll be happy to rest my bones in the Howick club Sunday, watch Bathurst and have a few beverages! What a beaut weekend!!

So Hydration pack, Jelly beans, 5 litre fuel, plenty of tear offs, spare googles??

Don't use tear offs, just duck your head if needed. We don't need those blowing around the forest and I've never needed them in Woodhill. You can anticipate having to duck your head if following someone through a big puddle but the sand by itself is generally not that much of a problem. You might want a clean pair of goggles with your fuel just in case but I find I usually don't need them in Woodhill. Just carry a small piece of damp chamois under a rubber band wrapped around the front of your seat to give your goggles a quick wipe if needed. And I doubt your going to need any extra sugar for a two hour race if you have a weak solution sport drink. You look like your carrying enough sugar anyway Rick.
