USA to NZ mail forwarding.

Smallish items like clothing,helmet etc for friend using my credit card as easy to trace.

I have used www.BuyUSA.co.nz a few times and I would say that they are extremely expensive and very poor value for money.

I buy almost all my motorcycle gear and parts from http://www.shopbombaymotorsports.com. Great prices, sends the track and trace/invoices immediately, takes credit cards and he'll ship anything to you here.

All the services look expensive.

I use 'friends' I 'met' on Mrkn or UK bike forums - costs me nothing (although I bought them gifts) and either have them order stuff then pay them via PayPal, or order the stuff myself and have it delivered to my address if they will, or a friend's address if they won't deliver outside of the US.
Some stuff I've bought directly, like my rear shock (which cost me about $200 in courier fees, as the shop wouldn't use a cheaper freight), and my fork springs (quite cheap, despite the weight).
With smaller items, the best idea if you can organise it is to order lots of things at once, like common fasteners, instrument bulbs (if they're like Honda ones and hard to buy here), decals, gaskets, etc etc. Then get a friend to forward them to you.

I've spent more than $2k over the last few years buying stuff this way, and I'm still way ahead of what I would've been, assuming I could buy all of this stuff here (which I couldn't).

Oh - that reminds me - the shock was bought on a group buy, saving ~US$200 before freight, so after freight I was still ahead. The guy who organised the group buy was actually a bike / parts shop owner, at Motoworld Online, and he does international sales. The courier for international sales isn't the cheapest, but this is so parts are tracked and you get insurance on them.
He also fills out the customs declaration with bogus yet believable values, so you're less likely to get pinged for heaps of GST.

I have been using http://www.BongoUS.com to send my packages and Harley parts, etc to AU
They offer all the best parts of other mail forwarding companies plus great international shipping info on their site, a live chat, and the ability to see an image of your item to verify your items are correct- before they ship it all the way over.
Its excellent.
