Report it. A few weeks ago wife was taking me to work in the Nissan March (hoho) looks in the rear view and says "girl behind is on her mobile" next moment ...crunch. I hop out of the car spiting tacks with steam coming out of my ears. Bloke next to her says "just a little bump, no damage" (without looking or an apology) they drive round us and away without stopping at the intersection. Reported it and the cops were all good, tracked them down and phoned me from their house asking if any damage. They will have ended up with a hefty fine. They could have escaped with and apology.

Well, it looks like I fucked up recording the plate (mental note - I was too busy riding). My mobile was out of reach otherwise I would have made a note of the 021 painting number.

Looks like reporting to the police won't wear if I have the plate wrong - shit it.

It happened in town on the corner of taranaki and wakefield about 1:30pm. I was heading north, turning right from wakefield onto taranaki.

Still - I was lucky the touch was slight and i didn't fall.

That's wear riding in a group or with a pillion.... you have a few more level heads to take details that you otherwise will screw up.

    Cheers and safe riding,
    Dave.

They often do... as do ACC... WINZ...most goverment department offices.
I recall an old ex flatmate (worked for, then the post office) told me ALL calls are recorded, just have to state numbers involved, time of day, what day etc not long afterwards, to access / use / get a copy.
