Feeling sorrry for u. Although i know that's not that's much comfort. We had 5 stolen back in June from our garage, would love to catch the bastards. I'm in east AK too seems like a theme going on here. We now have a load of security installed :- camera, alarms, padlocks, huge chains any thief would be deaf and half dead before he got our new bikes now.
God knows where all these bikes are going. Everyone I speak to seems to know someone who has lost a dirt bike. Police weren't that interested, Although they did come to have a look 3 days after. Ive looked vigilantly on trade me etc but never seen them. However, some seem to get them back. So here's wishing u all the best that you get your bike and gear back.
I would suggest you print off some photos and post them around all the Auckland bike shops and put notices in all the papers.
You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
And now a third thing a bloody big gun to shoot theives with!
Hope u get your bike back mate - after the asshole breaks his neck trying to ride it! Sorry if I sound mean but these c*_nts deserve no better for this kind of theft. I suggest we all electrify our bikes and have the switch locked in a very secure box.Obviously the punishment the police and the courts put out is in no way enough to deter the f#ckwits. Will keep our eyes and ears open for it down these ways mate - looks quite distinguishable aye.Such a shame man.PS - post pics of your gear as well if you have any - in case the thick shit rolls up on a trail ride and sum1
recognises them.
Whether you think you can or cant - you will always be right.

Sorry to hear bout your misfortune 2_SLO, I feel your pain my friend. Hopefully something good will come of this. You insured?
I dunno how you could steal it back without beating their heads to a pulpTell you what man, there are a few things that I treasure dearly and the thought of losing them would rip my undies in two and my bikes is are one... If I caught someone i'd be getting arrested for brutally assulting them.
At least you got it back.
Thanks for pointing that out Pitcher, I wish I had your insight, vocabulary, insipid humor, conceited mulish opinion and obviously vast life experience.
But, a recap as obviously you missed a few points in my posts, its ok, even the best make mistakes.
Firstly "alleged crime?" No it defiantly took place, I would love to say I was present at the time, but then I feel it may not of occurred, funny that.
"Where did it happen" Well I did respond to Skids query on that question, East Auckland was the answer I gave. Just to clarify this for you Pitcher, that's the North Island of New Zealand Location: 36°51′S, 174°47′E.
"When?" 10 years ago, I'm still hung up on it.
"does the bike have a rego?" Errr, no its a KX 250 MX bike. Strangely I don't require a registration plate to ride in the forest. It does have a serial number, however I held off putting that down as I did not feel comfortable putting my bikes serial number down on an open website. No real reason, it just didn't feel right. If anyone has any information regarding my bike I am more than happy to supply the serial number on PM.
"What do you want us to do" Pitcher, I don't want you to do anything, I was merely sharing my misfortune with KB. However I see that was an error in relation to yourself if you could please add me to your ignore list that way we wont have this problem again.
"apart from feel sorry for your loss" Whether you feel sorry for my loss or not is irrelevant, however I do appreciate most peoples comments,it is a loss, but no one died, life moves on.
I hope I clarrified a number of concerns you had raised, once again I appreciate your input.
