talked to sales guy at Welly motorcycles and he said that there will not be any 2009 XB_s, XB_sx, XB_scg model coming in to New Zealand.
welly motorcycle boss imported them especialy from Japan but now costs too much to continue doing so...
that sux for me cause i wont be able to afford one till next year and most of the current ones in NZ will be super old with heaps of km's...
i love the Blue XB9sx on trademe but its a 2005 and theres an orange XB12scg in Nelson that a 2007 but way out of my price range...
i hope some one has lots of money and imports a bunch of 2009's & 2008's next year... they are a super sexy bike and will sell like hot cakes or should i say meat pies...
Yeah - HD-A have rationalised the range. A decision made in light of the cost of inventory against projected sales.
No more XB12X either. Only the shorties version. Gutted.
The yellow one?
Was planning on a wee visit at some stage, need tyres. And stuff.
Want to check out that 1125 too. Figured I'd cunningly tell you I'm in the market for one and take it round the block. I gota tell you I'll probably be stretching the truth just a tad.

An 1125 will make me how good?

Engineer. Good design = good looks. Literally. Like I can't be trusted to buy my own clothes.
So answer me this: If a very average rider can set a bike up for a corner roughly right, tip it in and get on the gas at the appointed time, and have the power delivered just naturally match the available traction to near perfection then why would I want to change it?
More power? Not if it means less control in getting it down, in fact I can't think of any use for more even if the delivery is as good. But I'm keen to see what the difference actually feels like.
They are fucking ugly, but I think so because I'm not sure the new design elements are as elegantly solved as the original. I may, however step off an 1125 thinking they're the most beutiful bit of kit around...

Hang on hang on you bought a new bike so you wouldnt have to worry about repairs.
So you bought a buell, which has a harley motor.
Thanks for the laugh.
Harley Motor...??? did you look it up before you made that assumption...?
The 1125R has a Helicon engine produced & manufactured by BRP-Rotax in Austria.
So no they don't have Harley motors...

and apart from that - modern H-D engines are VERY reliable and one of the cheapest to service.
