I saw ya - at Ashhurst. Was on my way back from Napier - talk about rain! Best economy of the day by the Honda was 6.19L/100km. Not too bad for it...

Yep thought that was you. You got better mileage than the SV then but we did alot of riding in lower gears.Wasn't really expecting anyone to show at such short notice but Ferris turned up!

Good ride with no precipitation worth mentioning. Over the track right at Mangamaire in search of a road inland from the highway. Rode till we hit gravel. Asked a farmer on the way back and its about 6kms of gravel to the highway. Crossed the highway and rode to Alfredton then hooked onto 52 to Pongaroa for a beer at the local then home through Makauri Gorge.
Meet Horse on the Glide just before Mangatinoka and had a quick chat. Then on to Woodville and over the Saddle to gas up at Ashhurst.

    Just under 200kms all up.

    Ferris on 95 did 13.50 litres 6.75l/100km
    GSVR on 91 did 12.41 litres 6.2l/100km

Bit of a surprise there though we were just pootling. We did have to push into a wicked head wind for a while though. BTW, the 6.19 is pretty good for the Honda it's usually closer to 6.5.
