The Long Way Up - filming 2009

    From some UK rag:

Ewan's UP for a new Long Way
Biker stars Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman are going the Long Way again - for a third TV series.

They will be filmed riding from Cape Horn through South and Central America to California.

The show, to be called Long Way Up, is already pencilled in for 2009.

Long Way Down, covering their adventures from Scotland to Cape Town, is a current BBC2 hit.

It followed Long Way Round, in which Ewan, 36, and Charley, 41, rode 19,000 miles round the world - storming DVD and book sales charts in the process.

The pals' journeys aid UNESCO. Charley said: "If people are happy to watch it we are more than happy to do it."

I am glad to hear they are doing another one, enjoyed the round, down series. A very good watch. Quite inspiring I think knowing we could all do similar with half as much gear/support. But then again if I had the money I would be pretty sure I would have that sort of support/crew.

They do seem to complain a bit, but with some creative editing it could look like the whole trip was icecream and rainbows, I am glad they don't edit out all the hard times, gives a more realistic view of what that sort of trip would be like.

everyone complains, fuck look at kb, compared to the amount of whinging they did on their trip kber should learn to htfu and stop whinging(sp?).

Really enjoyed watching their trip, am looking forward to seeing the new one.

Both trips they did were difficult, for anyone to do support vehicles or not! Trust people to bash their effort who will never even try anything like it.

now all they need are lightsabers and the force haha

I'm looking forward to this one too since I'm a big fan of Ewan (No! I'm not gay!).

I just read the book about the second trip.

Frankly I'm surprised to hear they're doing a third one.
