I ride Riddell Road twice a day. Its taught me to expect anything when I come round a corner. I love my commute, Riddell Road then the waterfront all the way in to work.

I therefore lay claim to this road as mine. Not only is it my most regular road but also the part from Otorohanga to Pirongia is one of my favourite rides. I actually like the higher speed corners over my other local which is the back road from Otorohanga to Te Awamutu via Ouruwhero - Pokuru roads. I could claim both but my favourite is that section of Highway 31.

If you also like this section of road (doesn't have to be your favourite just one you agree is a nice ride) and accept I am its most regular rider then green bling for me. If you to think you also have rights to it then red bling me (have to put in a reason)

Then post the road you consider your local and that you think you can lay claim to (google map if you can). People can bling you green to acknowledge its a nice road and that yes you do indeed own it or red bling and try and make claim to it themselves.

This is not a pissing contest on who rides it the fastest, rather who rides that section of road the most.

You thieving bastard, that's MY GODDAM ROAD!!!!! I ride it several times a week as well!! It's part of my "petrol-saving commute" from Glenview to Hillcrest....
BUT I usually go south on it since I live at the northern end.......so maybe you can have rights for south to north and I could have north to south.....OR since I ride it usually early in the day, maybe we could time share....? What time do you do the trip?
I will look out for you from now on - I am in the black gear on a red SV650S...and I usually wave....(if I have time....) How will I know its you?

And yes I do agree the best bit is between Otorohanga and Pirongia....maybe I will do it clockwise some time too......nice post BTW.....

P.S. I will have to try that back route from Otorohanga to Te Awamutu - thought there must be something better than SH3.....

I also like the Kihikihi - Parawera - Arapuni road as well. Can go up either side of the river to Cambridge but west bank looks better although I missed the turnoff last time out....

I own 33.3% of a private road (shared driveway) and I have the paperwork to prove it!

Sadly its only 50mts long, no corners, and my wife wont let me speed down it.

Old North Road just past the Waikoukou Valley Road turn off! No - hang on - that bit of road owned me...

Me - there's a few - but Coatesville Riverhead Highway is one - and the foot of Old North is another. Just God-damned fun roads

I don't own any of them unless no one else is in sight. Other than that other vehicles can fight amongst themselves, I just keep out of the way.
