So we can put you firmly in the Rossi basher camp then can we?
And therein lies the problem mate. The 'quickest' bike (as in straight line speed), does not make the best bike!

The best bike is the best 'allround' package. THAT was the YAMAHA this year obviously. But still Stoner (and pretty much ONLY Stoner) was the man that could tame the fucking thing. Just like last year.

Interesting. Nicky Hayden's fastest lap on the 1st day of testing on the red bike was 1'33.960. Not too far from his fastest lap in the race on the Honda - 1'33.393. Maybe I'm reading more into that than I should - but now that there are no qualifiers (Now that's a good thing) we should be comparing apples with apples?

Too early sure, but a good first test for Hayden.
I am in favour of a level field myself Bill, we'll just have to see how control tyres work in 09 ?
I would also like to see electronics taken a step or two back as well.
If only to see who can handle a throttle the best ?
I can't pick a number 1 in that Ducati team Bill, both have good points and have had the championship, it'll be good to see. I look forward to seeing all the other young guys like Dovi and Jorge as well.

The problem I have is , do I buy a new bike or do more trips to see these fights in the flesh in 09..... (bugger, I might have to do both ?) Gaz.

Er, that could also be Ducati's IT geeks data logging the track geography and terrain into the traction/engine management so the bike know's exactly how much throttle when and where through track positioning.
There is no such thing as a 'sportscar'

How come people just can't give Stoner credit????
There were other Ducatis and Ducati's IT geeks in the MotoGP class. And where were they?? Stoner has proved that he's a phenomenal talent.

The shit fight of 'Who's the best, Stoner or Rossi' - is another matter.

Yeah yeah mate...I've read the same article...still shows you know squat about it all. If it was that simple...the same geek could not only do his work...but then put Stoners leathers on and win the race himself.

    Get real.

    Dude! There's no question....
For the record though, i've never actually said the guy can't ride, as it's been said here before, you don't get to be world champ by riding like a muppet.
I don't consider myself to be a "Stoner basher" by I do prefer to support Rossi in MotoGP.
I'll be interested to see how Kallio goes on his Duke next year too.

I notice that you wrote: "Rossi is king, long live the king. Stoner sucks."

See where you're coming from now mate. Not a very mature analysis though and hard to take you seriously.

No, I am a huge Rossi fan too (who isn't). I've said it before - this year he was the best rider on the best bike. Basically it's about giving Stoner due credit, and being grateful that someone was good enough to take it to Rossi for the past 2 years.

    From Roogazza: (from glen)
Too early sure, but a good first test for Hayden. (i see a few hints in both Stoners & Haydens comments that they are already circling each other & looking for the high ground)

I am in favour of a level field myself Bill, we'll just have to see how control tyres work in 09 ? (I can see both sides - but overall I dont mind the idea)

I would also like to see electronics taken a step or two back as well. (agree with this from a "riders championship" point of view)
If only to see who can handle a throttle the best ?

(Buy a new bike WHILST you are on your trip..........You could always bring back a DoooCati, Glen)
