Yep you are on the money with the absorption thing, basically she has a very inefficient digestive system and most of the nutrients pass out without being absorpted . Well you got to get these things right....or....you will never be that tub of lard you are trying to be!! :-)
Do some weights or light aerobic work as well or you will just end up 'fat'.
You want to gain weight with lean muscle.
I could never gain much weight no matter what I ate or how many weights I did.
But, when you hit 35+ years old like me, your metabolism will (should) slow down and weight gain is easier than you would prefer. Then it becomes a struggle to keep it lean.
