Funny you say that. You might think that not having windows in the garage might have saved us. Unfortunately not. We think this happened when or after the roller door blew in. My flatmate got some good pics after the fix-it job, too.

It's utter cack here in T'naki too, had to call off a group ride this morning and it's got steadily worse since then. Do I go out for a lotto ticket ?? what if I don't and my numbers come up

Edit: got no beer, I'm off out, I may be gone a while.
    Oh bugger

I'm just hoping my bike doesn't fall over! It is parked up the side of my building - so far so good. Sirens have been going all day = I live two doors down from the fire brigade. Definitely not a good day to be out on the bike.

Mate that is not funny - great day for my birthday eh!

Its not the worst storm we've had in our suburb, nothing beats that 18 hour pearler we had that August about 4 years ago when it brought all the trees down, roads were blocked, trains stopped, but luckily that time it was a week day so we didn't go to work, but damn this is Saturday and only guys like J2 go into work on a Saturday.
    Cheers

I'm on holiday in Nelson (live in Kapiti Wellington) and it's windy and crap here too but I notice there are a LOT of cruisers and social groups still out and about. Are cruisers better in the wind? Low C.O.V and all that?
I haven't a clue how to ride in the wind. When the gusts hit me on the VTR it feels like the bike is weightless or has disappeared out from under me !! Horrible feeling.
One time I was hit so hard by wind on the Rimutaka’s it stood the bike up mid corner and almost sent me over the edge.

Oh yeah, came home to my (very heavy) outdoor furniture blown across my backyard. Glad I didn't take the bike out today. I mean I like a blow job as much as the next guy but blow that!

    BTW
