I went up the takas and saw a few cops on the way up around 5pm. Mostly on SH2 round the Caltex. They were littered all the way along SH2 heading in and out of town from Upper Hutt though! Heeeeaps of them
I didn't see any cops today.
Mind you, the furtherest I went was the supermarket up the road...
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
Odd - I live down 16 (well - just off it) and I didn't see any coppas! Shame - but then I didn't really get out on the bike at all so that might explain it.
$2,000 cash if you find a buyer for my house, kumeuhouseforsale@straightshooters.co.nz for details
i think the cops are trying to get a good share of cash before the global recession really hits, probably for beer money on fridays and doughnuts.
Ummm, let me think about this for a second.
- Bikes love speeding down SH16
- The cops know this
- People die at those high speeds from cars or the riders doing something dumb
- The cops know this
- Doing 150kmh is illegal
- The cops know this
- The best way to keep the road toll down is to stop people doing 150kmh
- The cops know this
Cash, what cash? They took their licences away to stop them doing it some more.
just as well i didnt get out today other wise i may have had to walk home, 16 is addictive for us nana riders![]()
I thought SH16 was infamous for it's speed tax collections. Not a place I would choose to exceed the speed limit. The back roads to Tuatapere or the Catlins now that's a different matter.....![]()
