And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Come up SH1; up Ngauranga Gorge (it's an 80 and they love putting a radar at the top); and ride a boring 25km or so until you get to a big roundabout ... get into the third lane.
Turn right at the roundabout and immediately left at the next one ... it's about ten metres so be ready for it. The road should go round the back of a sailing club then up and over a saddle. If you go over a bridge and past some shops you've missed the turn ... go back to the big arse roundabout and try again.
Follow this road a short distance, past a car park on your left, till you get to spinnaker drive - a reasonably steep uphill climb that joins the main road at a very 'fine' angle (i.e the opposite of a right angle). Go up there and just follow the road round till you get to the church.
Map of the above and a picture of the church are attached.
EDIT: There's Mobil (IIRC) on the second roundabout. Fuel up but note that last time I was there they only had ethanol 95 (ordinary 91) so you may need/want to fill up somewhere else.
EDIT2: added spazzy picture of nasty junction
Signature needed. Apply within.
Rusty and I will be there as well.
And I have a request, would it be possible to have the bikes parked outside the church in an aisle and as Grub is being carried to the hearse we give him a send of with engines started. Let me know what your thoughts are?.

Oh dear, another sad little post from the man who thinks sarcasm is wit.

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Stopped off in Taumarunui with Grub and the boys while they were having lunch. First time I had met Grub proper (so to speak). I left them munching and pushed on - so sad and sorry to hear what happened. Best wishes Kari. I'll be there on Thursday.
