    I bought another bike...

I wrote off my first bike in a crash and didn't go near a bike until I managed to get together enough cash for my next one.

It was the worst 3 weeks of my life.

Couldn't go anywhere, had to take the bus to work and back, etc. It was not fun. But it was a good experience as it gave me the time to think about why I came off and what I could/should have done to prevent that happening again, so when I did get my replacement, I would be a somewhat wiser rider and would be that much more careful.
What you have in your heart will be revealed through what you have in your life.

If things are going badly in our circumstances, the answer to what is happening to us outwardly is more often than not found in the mirror.

I had no ridable bike for over 15months. The 'feeling' goes away after a while, but as soon as you put your leg over it comes back as strong as ever.

I don't think its the 'not riding' that is the problem, it's the things that riding takes away that are the problem... stress, thinking too much etc etc, I seem to clear my head when I ride, it took a while but I found other avenues to take care of those things.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

    Nothing like a good beet.

    Just no headaches, please.
Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

You could try going for a pushbike ride and just make motorbike noises?

Buy a really good camera, take lots of pix of your kids (includes frosty) riding, then, while they're all drooling and saying how rad they look, nick one of their bikes.....

Seriously though... I find the photo thing a good way of being involved in a sport where I can no longer be competitive (I'm just a trail rider these days, being old and decrepit)

Cranky is the word for it. I just went 10 days without the bike while in Aus, I was contemplating renting a Harley (all that was available). Desperate times indeed.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.
