Which NZ region is best for dirtbikes?

Thinking about moving towns again cause it took me about 1hour 20 mins to get to work which is just freaking silly. Been thinking about Tauranga, but is that just as bad? And there is always Napier again (home town). Booom is trying his hardest to get me to move to gissy, but that place it too small!

Anyway got to still be able to ride my bike so what region has reasonable riding area as well as job prospects?

Hamilton, ride in each direction of the compass with all round awesome roads, not to mention the best rqace tracks in the country, jobs hell heaps. Beach 35 mins, pubs n bars n resterants 175 at last count, schools brilliant. best town in NZ by a long shot

would second the hamilton choice,in my opinion Gisborne is too far away from anywhere of importance,i spent the early part of my life there so know a bit about the place.nice in summer thou.
    id go the waikato way.

rotorua is probably best for bikes as its close to everywhere else where good events are on, however its a shit pit gloom hole that smells funny

hamilton has good roads and lots of pubs, isnt really that close to anything good, it also has a lot of shitbag students and bum former students who can and will steal anything good you own. also hamilton has shit weather all year round.

tauranga is ok, low pay for comparitively high living cost, still quite close to a lot of good riding spots, has the traffic downfalls of auckland without the good money

gisborne wont get you rich, its far away from most other places, though there is a high population percentage with bikes and somewhere not too far to go to ride whenever you want to. beach travel time varies from 0 seconds to 5 minutes. weather ranges from really really awesome to really really shit. on the upside this range doesnt occur within a 15 minute timeframe like auckland.

hastings / napier. same as gisborne, minus the good beaches.

taupo awesome for being central to all rides as well as being local to epic events. on the downside it tends to be really cold. also far away from auckland, wellington and pretty much everything else.

I second that, it only takes me 15 mins to get to work from Birkenhead to Devonport, leaving at 7:30am.

hmm., i live in gisborne, nobody has ever stolen anything of mine, nor have i ever heard of anyone's bike or car been stolen.

(other than blatant insurance jobs from behind video ezy)

i also know a lot of people who live and who have lived in hamilton. most of them have had a car stolen, and their houses broken into several times.

by these statistics, hamilton is full of theives.

I've found the region between Cape Reinga and Stirling point is pretty good. Plenty of spots for both off road and dual purpose riding.
    Time to ride

LOL that's funny. Your conclusion is based on the anecdotal evidence of 5 people!
