    Checkpoints. Waddaya do?

What the f@#k do ya do when you come around a corner and see 4 or 5 hi-viz vests 200 metres up the road?
....ok, so you have had 1 can of 7.9pc lager at work, 15 mins beforehand.
when you decide you cant be fucked with the hassle of talkin to the fuzz..
and then u-turn and quietly cruze away at 56kmh down the road ...
all of a sudden theres the shrill sound of police sirens behind you and you instinctively PULL OVER ..............what do you say???????????
I know what I said to save my ass...how bout you, whats your say?

You let the cop catch you up? If you were Carver, you'd have thrown a wheelstand, then thrown the now empty bottle of JD's at them...

Me and my mate stood on both sides of the Birkenhead checkpoint on. Tuesday I think it was. Or something. Outside NW, holding up signs that said "COPS AROUND CORNER". A fair amount of thumbs ups were had, I felt good.

Shitting myself that a cop'd pull over in a sneaky mufti with a frown on his face

Personally, I don't drink so I can't see it ever being an issue. But surely you can do whatever the hell you please (legally) on a public road. We're free to choose whether or not we suddenly want to turn around aren't we?

Or is there a law now that states we MUST proceed through the checkpoint that we spot in the distance?

Since we all know that they will persue a turning vehicle, I'd expect (in your example) a response of... "I've had one can, and couldn't really be arsed going through your checkpoint"...as being valid.
    (because you were legal, ay?)

So much psotwhoring is goingon from me, but it'd imply you had something to hide, I would guess. So someone has to make sure you're all legal!

I wouldn't warn drivers that breath testing was around the corner... I'd hate to be riding around with drunk-drivers more than anybody else. I think someone's life is worth more than a taxi fare home if you're on the piss.

If you thought you'd had enough to cause an issue, then what the fuck were you doing on the bike?
