I posted this and then for three days I couldn't get access to the site. For some unknown reason my IP was blocked. I rang Telecom and they said that when the site refreshes in approx 6 hours it might clear my IP. It has done this and now I am happy once more.
I will post a photo of them now......
I did have it all set up as well!!

Pretty thoroughly farkled
The inflatable bits are optional though.
I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I always was.
dam, not the first klx... here's mine setup for some touring...
did have a 15t in it, but got fed up with having no power, so its back to the 14.
which brings it back to stock standard... bring on payday...
Here's a picture of the sherpa in action near Lake Sumner.
One day I'll get around to getting some photos of all the improvements we have made to it.

Nah, thats the 5L heavy duty, from supercheap (nicer shape than the 'regular' 5L containers and more durable, for only about $10 extra). Gets me another 100kms, which makes longer trips doable. Thinking of including a couple of those aluminium drink bottles in my panniers as an extra back up now that I've got my 14t sprocket back.
Used a thick elastic loop to fasten it on, but that needed retying halfway through the trip because the elastic lost a bit of elasticity and it kept bouncing out on the rougher stuff.
Also taped a foam pad onto the base of the can so the plastic didn't scratch my precious bike... also stops a fair bit of rattle.
The REAL question is should I make a new warning label for the can thats in german? because everyone knows warning labels always look more important if they are in german...
Aluminium fuel bottles for camping stoves are very good. I have two 1.5 litre primus ones, and I am very pleased with them. Living Simply in Auckland sells them (they also have an excellent mail order service)
Drink bottles would probably work ok, but the primus bottles were a similar price, and I'm paranoid about unlabelled containers, fuel resisitant seals and being allowed to fill approved containers at petrol stations
And carrying fuel in a red container boosts its octane rating![]()

sounds like the ticket... will pay a visit some time..
1 & 2: '02 TT-R 250 with Dunlop D606's, TAG bars, Zeta hand guards, B & B bash plate, Ventura sport rack and cheap carbon look indicators which are marginally less flappy and hideous than the stockers. It has also been dyno-jetted, for what little it's worth.
3 & 4: '96 Transalp, formerly Transalper's mount. Mitas E07's, Givi panniers and crash bars, R-Jays top box, Ventura light protector, the 'Transalper special' bash plate (not a patch on Nordie's awsome one), Daytona heated grips, Scotoiler and about $1000 spent on getting the suspension sorted at DAS. Credit to Nordie for pic no. 3, hope you don't mind me using it.
Not very bling, but both pretty capable in their own ways.
Cheers

No mods except for a suspension upgrade, and a new, s/hand muffler to go on at some stage.
It does what I want it to so I just ride it as is
