Mum went to register her bike a few weeks ago and the person asumed it was for her partner! how rude! it pissed me off.

I'm sick of these judgmental pricks!!

has anyone else had this before?

haha you gotta chill out, dont take it too personally. As long as your happy your riding then it doesnt matter what people think. Men get a little bit of the same when it comes to other stuff so the double standard goes both ways, lets keep it chilled

Rubber side up and welcome to biking!

Hes right, but once you get the bike & stuffs, you turns into a uniquity from rare. Heres an example (I saw). I met a lady at work, and she rode a Moto Guzzi. Seriously how many woman rides a Guzzi? But she looked really really cool. Very unique, very stylish and very cool. It wasn't like "a whole new chaper", her image was a whole new book itself.

Met another lady at work. She rode a Ducati 748. Looks like the same lady but I'm not sure. However same property applied to her aswell. Very very very Cool.

In my experience "chicks" tend to be on the back of a bike, whereas riders tend to be "women".

As for the ignorant masses? Pity them - just pity them. Turn it into a game - see how many you can find per week - and go for the record!

I love it when I pull up beside little litre bikes on my 14, then I say, oh, its a good girls bike. Likewise at track days I love it when asked, "what group are you in?" Answer, of course, the girls group. gets them everytime

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?

Cats land on their feet. Toast lands jamside down.
A cat glued to some jam toast will hover in quantum indecision

Curiosity was framed; ignorance killed the cat

Fix a computer and it'll break tomorrow.
Teach its owner to fix it and it'll break in some way you've never seen before.

Embrace it I say. I get some funny looks too but that just makes me more determined than ever to do something they're not. My mates all want rides and are very supportive

Chicks who ride are hot, and when you get dissed, tell em what else can you straddle your legs over that is exciting, hot and throbbing and do it in public as much and as often as you can, and probably as much fun as you can have with your clothes on.
