Good night guys... Enjoyed the ride over to Albany... gotta love those extra twisties thrown in for good measure ! ..

On the way home... on the southern, just before Greenlane, ridnig along with Sgtjackass, and either Gubb or Badger (hard to tell those two bikes apart), there was a mr plod car trundling along doing about 85 in the slow lane... I thought to myself, hmm, he looks like he's waiting for someone to give him a reason to turn on the flashy things.... so, it being 10:15, me not far off 100, and having a nice shiny Yellow "L" on the back of my bike, i thought... I'll pull in behind and trundle the next 3 - 4k till I need to pull off.....
Low an behold, before my turn off, he's gone screaming down the road with the blues and two's... wasn't after you was it Gubb / Badger ?

Next wed should be called the "A Mother in Law isn't for xmas, i'd rather have a dog !" ride... for those of us that will need to escape the clutches of that particular scenario !

    T'was I

I saw mr plod, and you eased off, figured out what the story was. I've lost the light on my speedo, so took it what i thought was a little easy as i rolled past ploddy. Once i thought i was clear of him, gave it a bit more giggle juice and started jumping gaps in the traffic, then within a couple of seconds i saw him coming with the lights on. Didnt think i'd done anything pull-over-worthy, but still shat a chicken and partially barfed up my heart. Sure enough, he boosted on past, with a cage not far behind doing a good 115, so i pulled in behind him for a bit and weaved my way down to Mt Welly. as the heart rate returned to normal.

Have a good christmas all. i wont be here next week, as i am riding up north for the token effort of pretending to care about the family for chrissy. So if anyone fancies a ride up 16 on the wednesday, gimme a yell My final destination is either Whangarei or Kerikeri (not sure yet), but any company for as far as anyone feels like is most welcome

Quick question, it sounds like this would be most beneficial for me as i am learning also, i didnt have enough time to read all post SO, will these meetings still be happening next year and at the same time? I live in Meadowbank so ill practise practise practise so that i have enough confidence to travel over the bridge...cheers

I pussied out when I got home because it started to rain a little. at about 6:50 I decided... yeah, let's head out. I shoot up to westgate, you're all gone (this was about five past damit), so then I race on to albany car park and nobody's there.

Turned out to be good weather after all

Well make your mind up because some of us have other shit we could be doing instead of boring you to death.

Plus much of the stuff re cornering and lines was pretty bloody important and goes to the root of riding - if you already got all the stuff we were going over what are you doing there anyway?

Please don't take any offence, ofcourse we learnt many from our special guest that night.

And I wouldn't have joined if I didn't want to learn anything, would have I?

Generally I had fun, but to be honest I was expected to do some exercises too.

I probably won't be able to attend tommorow night.

Every chirstmas eve my work has a massive clean up of the kitchen which may well take a few hours and a fair few beers, and then after that I have to go celebrate christmas.. German family, German christmas. They take it more seriously than Nazi jokes..
Woe to You Oh Earth and Sea
For the Devil sends the beast with wrath
Because he knows the time is short
    Let him who hath understanding
Reckon the number of the beast
For it is a human number
Its number is six hundred and sixty six.

FOR SALE: '88 Yamaha FZX 750, low k's and decent condition. Looking for around 4.5K. Drop us a pm, view it any time. Oh, and trades considered for cruisers or naked sporties.
