Pulled up for an inspection and found that a bolt had fallen out of my instrument panel and fallen on exactly the right angle to lock my steering. Not mint.

Not me, Mr and Mrs Yod are heading south for some family time.

Membership is by invitation only. Anyone can enter the rides. Members man the checkpoints, help organise the rides etc. Very well organised rides and a heap of fun.

I should get through the northern east coast, the Inland Rd, the Lewis and Arthurs pass (possibly Arthurs in both directions) as well as a good chunk of Banks Peninsula and SH6 from Greymouth to Picton plus a few odds and ends thrown in for good measure

When are you going? I'd be interested in hearing about the trip as I want to tour the South Island some some either Jan or Feb.

It will be my first proper tour anywhere so like to know other people's experience on the South Island.
