Just tell them, tey will either deal with it and understand, or otherwise. As long as you are stable within your own situation then all will be find. I have young kids, and as you do, think of the furture and what may become, and honestly, if you situation occured there is little you can do to change it, and without alianating you just have to deal and undestand. Each to there own in my opinion.

Life happiness is the most important. make the most of it!

Crikey, is there any support networks you can contact that may have some good advice, I'm sure there must be a phoneline or point of contact that you can ring ... rest assured that you aren't the only person thats gone through or will be going through this (not that it helps you any!)

You're an intelligent young lad, I'm sure you can apply some thought and creativity to this sensitive subject - good on ya for taking steps in your life to try and be more open.

A tetchy subject I agree when you factor in your parental units background and upbringing. But, y'know ... life is too short to go skulking around ashamed to be who you are.

You got your whole life ahead of you, go ahead and be brave enough to follow through the highs and lows it will take you!

What's the worse that could happen? You get thrown out, disowned and never spoken to or about ever again? The best that could happen? Acceptance and loving you all the same for who you have always been!

Is our son ............... riding a jog ?
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

As long as you are prepared for all reactions you will be fine ... your parents if they have smarts probably already know .. even if they don't realise it ... it may just click for them ...

The religous aspect is something which they have to deal with .. and it is their choice as to their level of acceptance ...

Do it in your own time and at your own pace ... and as I said be prepared ...
Life is a gift that we have all been given. Live life to the full and ensure that you have absolutely no

Or, Maybe they've got this little curiosity in the back of their mind for relative reasons.

My parents think I am odd and I am straight so in a way the issue of you being Gay is not really the problem..if that makes sense...parents always want their kids to meet their expectations or what is normal and forget that there there is no normal.

If they think you are odd then that is there problem not yours..it's your life not their's..at first I am sure they will be horrified (no offence to Gay's) but the main thing is that you have told them and somewhere inside they will respect that...

Just remind them that you were created in God's image...image of what he wants for you...
