the ones we use have a bracket which we have drilled 2 small holes thru the front guard for mounting bolts. then just a cable tie or a bit of tape to make sure the extinguisher doesnt come out of the cradle on the rough stuff.

    so far no damaged guards.

I have taped my extinguisher to the crossbar pad onthe handlebar. It sits fine there and i've never had any problem with it being there. You need to watch that it dosen't interfere with the cables. No bad experiences so far but others may have something to add to that. I like the idea of bolting it to the front fender with the provided clamp for mounting.

If you go on the saturday I will probably see you there so I can get at least a preview for the 10th jan

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
And now a third thing a bloody big gun to shoot theives with!

    should hopefully be going.
Can you buy fire extinguishers there?
My choice is what I choose to do,
And if I'm causing no harm, it shouldn't bother you.

It was wet, sloppy, slippery as hell greasy lot a people went home early hill climbs where pretty tuff due to the weather. Other wise appart from smaking head on fence post and smasing my knee on something and putting kick start right through boots ( I need new ones now) was a good day out .

    Wot barty said....

The morning wasn't too bad but by 2pm the surfaces were as greasy as hell and I was not getting up slopes that I had earlier, Hopefully it will dry out for tomorrow but otherwise it's good tyres and be prepared to give it heaps to get through some of those uphills.

On a side note, the clay colour goes well with KTM orange, I have about 50kgs of the stuff if anyone wants some.

Well we checked out the ride today and it was a minter. Lots of dragon flies around too which was kinda interesting. You don't get many in Auckland.

Anyway, did 3 loops and checked out some of the expert tracks too. Some really nice views from the FFM loop I think it was called. Decided it would be best if I avoided 'suicide drop'.
