your right sometimes more was 2 cop cars each show. I enjoy the show that much I bought the full set of dvds out of the states a few years back bout 7 dics per box set 7 in total. Watch them when theres nothing on tv has heaps of doco programs loaded in there as well gose right in to the making of them. Youll even find old cooters place online he still runs a shop/ Museum on the show. Just cant find copies of the 2 movies made back in the 80s have both the latest ones.

I disagree....it's more a case of horses for courses mate, check out an interstate or freeway in the US and tell me the words "fit for purpose" don't apply.
In the same "fit for purpose' vein, they also made some mighty fine performance cars for relatively little money back in the day. I can't think of any equivalently priced non-yank cars of the era that would clean up a Boss 302 Mustang around a race track. Or an L88 Corvette, or a '69 Z28 Camaro etc. Tuff too, unlike the fragile Euro-trash of the era.
