    Question. GN rumour?

Heard a rumour that the gn250 may be brought back to life next year.
Any truth to this or is the clown pulling my leg??

I was amazed to see a GN250 in Chinatown.
Also saw a '70s era Kawasaki 900 in pretty good nick in SF.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Dunno. I heard Suzuki NZ told JP that they didn't want the Chinese ones any more because it was costing them a mint in warranty claims.

Can't think they would be keen to get any more ex China.

I've heard the 125 is coming back, not the 250.

I spoke to a Colemans salesman at their stand at the Big Boys Toys end of last year and asked about the current price of a new GN250.

IIRC he explained that they are not and will not be sold in NZ again because the bikes do not meet the emissions requirements and it is not economical for Suzuki to bring them up to scratch. However the apparently GN125 meets the requirements. They had one on display though I can't remember the price.

Any truth to the rumour they are gonna be bringing in the TU250 (to replace the GN250 I guess)?

I thought the TU250 just uses the GN250 engine? So if the GN doesn't meet emissions requirements how would the TU meet the requirements?

The fuel injection on the TU250 will bring the emmissions to meet the requirements.

GN125? Gawd no... I mean seriously, I thought the GN250s were worse enough, how worser can it be?

Fuel injection and a cat converter. If it passes the California emissions requirements it should be good as gold.

Then if they're already doing that for the TU, why not just use that for the GN as well?
